We have worked with the international company Alcan Packaging for some years now and translate their regular newsletters for employees across the globe, collaborating closely on these with the in-country Alcan contacts.
The Newsletters require translating into Dutch, Turkish, Malay (Bahasa Melayu), Tagalog, Canadian French, German and Russian. In general, the content originates from ‘across the pond’ with a focus on Environment Health and Safety initiatives and Continuous Improvement. Therefore, as well as packaging terminology, it contains business improvement-speak and jargon.
We have an excellent relationship with our Alcan contact who is “patience personified” when dealing with any queries and who has assisted us in building an excellent company-specific glossary in the seven languages.
