Mercury Health - medical translation and typesetting into Cantonese, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, Gujurati, Polish, Somali plus Braille transcription and audio - NHS Patient Information leaflets
We worked with Mercury Health on a series of leaflets into the community languages and Braille and Audio for use within NHS hospitals. These language versions provide key information to patients who are undergoing minor procedures in hospital. The texts required the translators to have medical knowledge.
Mercury had produced the original files in the DTP package InDesign and provided us with these which we translated, proofread and typeset, returning the completed Somali, Punjabi, Bengali, Urdu, Gujurati, Cantonese and Polish translations as InDesign files and pdfs. The Audio versions were offered as CDs and Cassettes and the Braille transcription in individual booklets.
